Win a Prize WITHOUT WINNING at 3rd Annual Take Flight 5K
“At the 3rd Annual Take Flight 5K, we are doing something new. We will be giving out random prizes so that people who never win 1st, 2nd or 3rd can maybe win a prize. We hope that this new feature will encourage more people to enter, thus helping us raise more money to help complete Runway Park at the Greenville Downtown Airport,” stated Joe Lanahan, Take Flight 5K Race Director. The organizers say that the park is in desperate need of restrooms and a paved parking lot.
What could you win? According to the race website: A month free at Distinct Crossfit, a beautiful necklace valued at over $500 from Skatell’s, ice cream for 4 from Kilwins, a signed Clemson photo, 18 holes of play for 4 people at Crosswinds Golf Club, Gravitopia passes, a flight lesson from Flight School of Greenville, tools from McKinney Hardware & Lumber, a toy from The Elephant’s Trunk, a puppy or kitten adoption from the Greenville Humane Society, a gift certificate to the Runway Cafe, 2 tickets to Swingin’ Country at Centre Stage, a $50 gift certificate from Label Creations, a birthday party at Greenville Rec valued at $180, a prize pack from Hot 98.1, 107.3 JAMZ!, X98.5 or 97.7 ChuckFM!

The Best Overall Take Flight 5K Male and Female winners will receive a cool airplane gauge mounted to an award base! Other prizes will also be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in different age and gender categories and everyone will get an event T-shirt,” noted Lanahan.
