Legacy Run 5k + 15k – April 25, 2015 – Brevard NC

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS
The 3rd annual Legacy Run will be in the heart of Brevard, North Carolina, on April 25, 2015, featuring a 15K, 5K, and Kids’ 1/2 mile fun run. The 15K course will run along parts of the French Broad River and feature views of the beautiful Western NC mountains. The 5K course tours through the city of Brevard, providing several hills to keep you on your toes and a great downhill finish for the last half mile. Walkers and strollers are welcome in the 5K. Participants and spectators will be entertained by our emcee, Brad Snipes, and DJ Dogg from Class and Sound Entertainment. Anyone who has participated in the Legacy Run knows that these two are quite the dynamic duo! Kicking off at 7:30am, the Legacy Run will feature pre- and post-race food provided by Food Matters Market and kids’ activities including face painting, a balloon artist, and bounce houses provided by Par-T-Perfect. WHY THE LEGACY RUN?
Since its inaugural year in 2013, the Legacy Run has raised more than $50,000 to support Inheritance of Hope and young families facing the loss of a parent. Through Inheritance of Hope’s signature Legacy Retreats®, families who have a parent with a life-threatening illness are given an opportunity to create memories together, meet other families in similar situations, receive counseling and support, and learn about leaving a legacy for their children. REGISTRATION/INFORMATION
The 15k race starts at 7:30 AM. The 5k race starts at 8:00 AM.
