Holland Drop Zone on Fort Bragg. I have many memories of Holland – jumping out of C-130s and landing in Holland. Watching equipment drops by parachute and trudging across the massive openness of Holland trying to get into the treeline for cover. This was a component of my four-year experience in the 82nd Airborne Division in the 1970s.
C130 rolling down the strip.
Airborne daddy gonna take a little trip.
Stand up hook up shuffle to the door.
Jump right out and count to four.
Here is a map of Ft Bragg’s drop zones:
Enough of my trip down memory lane – there’s a Reebok Spartan race at Holland Drop Zone on Ft Bragg on September 19, 2015.
