Fleet Feet Sports 5k – April 18, 2015 – Fletcher Park – Fletcher NC

It is a fact that Fletcher Park is a venue highly conducive to fast running times. So this is definitely an opportunity for you to get pumped up for the Spring racing season and potentially set yourself a PR. This race is part of the Asheville Track Club Grand Prix Series.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

The Fleet Feet Sports 5k will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2015 at 8:30am in Fletcher Community Park. The entry fee is $30 prior to April 11th. All proceeds will benefit Fletcher Parks & Recreation Department. The race is limited to 500 runners, and packet pick up will be available on Friday, April 17th from 3pm-7pm at Fleet Feet Sports in Biltmore Park. Race day registration will be from 7am -8am and cost $40 on race day. All pre-registered runners will receive a Fleet Feet Sports shirt, and other race amenities. Race day registration will be held at the Steelcase Shelter in the Park.

The entire 5k will be run on the Park greenway system, it is FLAT & FAST. The surface is mad of a mix of trail and some hard packed greenway. There will be a water station at the 1/2 point on the course. This is one of the fastest 5k courses in western North Carolina, so sign up and come set a spring PR!
