Friend of the Lake 5k – April 4, 2015 – Lake Junaluska NC

This race is part of the 2015 Asheville Track Club Grand Prix Series.

The Friends of the Lake 5K is a charitable event to support the recreation opportunities of Lake Junaluska. 100% of the proceeds for this event go towards the annual maintenance and improvement of the recreation areas at Lake Junaluska.

Come join Friends of Lake for what may well be the most scenic 5K in the area. The course starts on a paved closed road and at one mile runners will enter onto a paved foot path that will lead across the dam at Lake Junaluska. The path will take runners along the lakeshore with beautiful views. Runners will then cross a footbridge over the lake and return to the start/finish area via a closed street. In addition to being beautiful, the course is also fast.
