Southcliff Black and Blue – September 19, 2015 – Fairview NC

A cult classic trail race event in a private, gated community with a very cozy pre-race and post-race atmosphere and terrific food and drink. Two distances – one is about 6.5 miles and the other is about 2.6 miles. I’ve done the long race five times and it is all uphill the first half but then, it’s actually quite easy. The awards are incredible. For at least the last few years the winners received hand-made wooden chairs.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

The Southcliff Black & Blue Classic returns on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 9:00am.  Runners who have raced at Southcliff before can expect much of the same as past years, with unique courses on private roads and trails, amazing views, post-race lunch from Laurey’s Catering and beer from Wicked Weed, and the most generous awards in the area.

The long race starts at 9:00 AM and the short race starts at 9:05 AM.
