DuPont Forest 12k Trail Race – March 21, 2015 – DuPont State Forest – Pisgah Forest NC
DuPont Forest 12k Trail Race is sponsored by Jus’ Running and benefits DuPont State Forest. DuPont State Forest is a great place to run, hike or just hang out. There are other races held at DuPont Forest but this one is the original and, frankly, my personal favorite. It’s very well organized and has mighty good post race food.
This is a great, not too difficult 12k (7.4 miles) trail race. Mostly double track, not too much single track and some forest service roads. It has a great start – mostly flat to downhill for the first couple of miles. And since the race starts at 10:00 AM you can sleep in and still have plenty of time to get to DuPont Forest.
