Band Aid 5k + 8k

I speak from experience when I say that this is a terrific pair of races. They’re well -organized and take place on a combination of the Asheville High School and AB Tech campuses. Runners finish on the Asheville High School track. I ran the 8k in 2014 and plan to run it again in 2015.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

Celebration of music in the school with not only marching band music at numerous location throughout the course but a “Kids Band Showcase” at the finish line party. The Asheville Running Company will be on-site with shoe sales and have donated gift certificates for the top 10 runners of both races – 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 1st in the Masters div. and !st in the Grand Masters – men and women. Age group awards for men and women separately starting with 14 and under – every 5 years after that until 85 and over.

• There is a team option for the 5k with a discount.
