Tails & Trails 5k – October 4, 2014 – Buncombe County Sports Park – Candler NC

I ran this race several years ago, along with my friend and correspondent Victor Dostrow ( click here for 2011 Tails & Trails 5k results). There isn’t much detail about the course, but what I ran back in 2011 was five laps of a 1 Kilometer course (click here for the details from my Garmin). I was lapped by the winner. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Asheville Humane Society along with all the dog food collected (part of the registration fee is 2 cans of dog food that you’re supposed to bring on race day).

INFORMATION/REGISTRATION

• The race starts at 9:30 AM.
• $20 for adults.
• $10 for children under 12.
• PLUS you’re supposed to bring 2 cans of dog food on race day.
