Flight of the Vampire 5k + 10k – October 25, 2014 – Brevard NC

The Brevard Rotary produces three different races each year, each as the opening event for a weekend-long festival (The White Squirrel 5k/10k, The Firecracker 5k/10k and the Flight of the Vampire 5k/10k). I speak from experience when I say the courses are moderately challenging as WNC courses go, they have plenty of variety and lots of friendly spectators. FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

Transylvania’s 2014 Flight of the Vampire Race/Walk and Fun Run is designed to accompany the all day downtown festival. For several years the festival has started with this event. Later in the day music, food, dancing, kid’s fun games, tours, crafts, art and much more fill the cool mountain air in this picturesque little towns in Western NC.

Transylvania’s 2014 Flight of the Vampire starts at 9 AM. Same day reg opens at 7 AM at the American Legion, just one block off of Main Street. For GPS use 55 E. Jordan ST. Brevard, NC 28712.

We will have a 5k and 10k Race. Halloween costumes are very much encouraged. There is later in the day a costume contest on the Main Street all day festival. We will have a short fun run for kids.
