It’s that time again runners! In fact, it’s the 38th time. Some of you weren’t even born when this race showed up. Don’t miss this fall classic.
FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS
The oldest road race in Asheville (38 years!) winds through beautiful downtown Asheville, North Carolina, passing into the Historic Montford District, the Reed Creek Greenway, and Riverside Cemetery, before finishing in front of Thomas Wolfe Memorial House at 52 N. Market St.
In addition to the awards at the end, this race is unique in that it includes two cash sprints: the 1 Mile Sprint and the 3 Mile sprint, both sponsored last year by Jus’ Running. The fastest male and female runners at each marker will receive a cash bonus of $50.00!!!
The 38th running of the TW8K is also part of the 2014 Asheville Track Club Grand Prix series.
Race begins and ends at the Thomas Wolfe House. The course takes runners through the historic Montford Disctrict of Asheville, along Reed Creek Greenway, past Thomas Wolfe’s headstone in historic Riverside Cemetery, through the bustling Lexington Avenue scene,and back to the Old Home Place, where pizza, beer, and rockin’ music awaits you!
The course remains exactly the same as the previous 3 years.
Packet Pick Up on Friday October 17th at the Thomas Wolfe Memorial House from 4-7pm. You register in person at this time or on race day from 8:30-9:45am

The 2014 TW8k is also one of the races in the Asheville Track Club’s 2014 Grand Prix Series, with over $4,000 in cash prizes to be awarded at the annual club Christmas party!
