Highland Night Flight 4 Mile Race – July 12, 2014 – Highland Brewing Company – Asheville, NC

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

Highland Brewing Company celebrates its 20th anniversary with the inaugural Highland Night Flight on Saturday, July 12 at 8:00 pm. This four-mile race will be centered at the Highland Brewery in East Asheville and include a loop that has never been raced on before. After the race, celebrate with friends at Highland with their famous beer, food at the post-race party.

The event is being produced in partnership with the City of Asheville and the Asheville Parks & Greenways Foundation with proceeds going to the development of greenways in our community.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The rolling course will take you from the Highland Brewery to the Beverly Hills neighborhood of East Asheville and around the Asheville Municipal Golf Course. As you leave Beverly Hills there will be a downhill section before crossing Swannanoa River Road and hooking up with Azalea Road before taking Gashes Creek Road to the its end where you will meet up with a trail leading back to the brewery. The course is on paved road except for a small portion of chip trail between Swannanoa River Road and Azalea Road that is preceded by a small set of stairs and the trail at the end of Gashes Creek Road.
