New River Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k – May 3, 2014 – Todd, NC

This is the fourth annual running of this popular and beautiful event in Todd, NC (about 12 miles northeast of Boone, NC). Produced by Blue Ridge Endurance Events, also the producer of the very-popular Blue Ridge Relay, the New River Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k attracted more than 1,000 participants in 2013.

In the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains along the banks of the New River, one of only 14 American Heritage Rivers in the USA. Showcasing North Carolina’s High Country and the spectacular New River valley. Experience why other runners are raving: “Most beautiful course ever” and “Only Big Sur rivals the beauty of the New River Marathon course.” USATF certified.

17 miles along the banks of the New River and on other NC Scenic Byways. Horse farms, Christmas tree farms and the New River Valley showcase this course. Challenging hill section miles 15 – 17.5.
