Run for Renewal 5k – October 20, 2013 – Fletcher Park – Fletcher, NC

Here’s a nice Sunday afternoon 5k at Fletcher Park and it’s right around the corner – this coming Sunday. The race director just sent me a discount code that allows runners to get the equivalent of the “early bird” registration rate. Just use discount code C-RUNNER at checkout and you’ll get $6.75 off the $35 late registration fee. The race starts at 2 PM and, of course, any race at Fletcher Park is going to be flat as a board. Since it’s a Sunday afternoon race it doesn’t conflict with the other races on this weekend which are principally on Saturday.

All race proceeds benefit nonprofit effort to build a home for homeless teen moms in our region, through the organization Renewal House Ministries.

Another interesting twist is a drawing to win a $395 bracelet from Marthaler Jewelers in Biltmore Park. All registrants are automatically entered for a chance to win.
