Peter Ripmaster About to Complete 50 Marathons for Cancer Research

Peter Ripmaster, owner of the Black Mountain Running Company is just a few days away from the culminating event in his quest to complete 50 marathons in 50 states to raise money for cancer research. If you don’t know Peter, well, you should. He’s one of nicest people you’ll know, with a big smile on his face, a perpetually positive attitude and a natural ability to inspire others. Oh, one more thing. He’s a heck of a runner. We’re fortunate to have Peter in our community at large and in our running community.

My hat is off to Peter for taking on this daunting journey. I encourage everyone to wish Peter the best at the Mount Sneffels Marathon in Telluride, Colorado this Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 6:30 AM. And if you’ve never had the pleasure of meeting Peter, I encourage you to stop by the Black Mountain Running Company and introduce yourself. You’ll be glad you did.
