Results of the Ramble Run 12k – May 11, 2013 – Biltmore Park – Asheville, NC
|I was out of town and missed the race, however my good friend and correspondent Victor Dostrow provided a report in my absence.
So, the weather looked kind of ominous, but the race Gods smiled, and the rain held off. Aside from a bit of humidity, it was a great day to run. As usual, the race was well organized, with a particularly seamless packet pickup. The special recognitions for women racing are a nice touch in advance of Mother’s Day. The Ramble is a great venue for a race: I quite like the greenway portion. And, inevitably, the mile 5 hill and the last hill seemed rather steeper going up than they did going down. Despite that, a PR for me. Congratulations to Ryan Woods as first male and Mina Thortenson as first female. And, an additional Special Correspondent nod to Gary Curran, first Masters male.
