Results of the Legacy Run 5k and 15k – April 27, 2013 – Brevard, NC
Nice turnout for this inaugural event. Congratulations to Aaron Saft from Foot Rx Asheville as first overall and first male in the 15k. Congratulation to Sharon Shofer of Chapel Hill, NC as first female in the 15k. Congratulations to 11-year-old Hudson Koch of Mills River, NC as first overall and first male in the 5k. Congratulations to 14-year-old Amy Borhaug of Brevard, NC as first female in the 5k.
I love the age diversity in the 5k. Five of the top ten finishers were 14 years old or younger. Rounding out the top twenty were some great runners in slightly wiser age groups: Lloyd Slocum (80) finished 13th overall; Jim Grodnick (73) finished 15th overall, and Bill Riecke (79) finished 20th overall.
