Grandfather Mountain Critter Crawl 5k – May 23, 2013 – Linville, NC

This is a cool race, although I haven’t run it yet. It’s Thursday evening before Memorial Day weekend. A nice jaunt up to the top of Grandfather Mountain, a favorite of mine. I could see going up to the high country for a long weekend and kicking it off with this race. It’s only a 1,000 foot elevation gain (piece of cake if you’re the owner of one of those “badges of honor” for completing the Bearwallow Beast that climbs 1,300 feet in a 5k distance).
