Expedition Paris Mountain 10 Mile | 5 Mile Trail Race – February 9, 2013 – Paris Mountain State Park – Greenville, SC

Expedition Paris Mountain 5 Mile and 10 Mile Trail Races

Paris Mountain State Park is a great place for trail running. This pair of races should afford cool February temperatures for your choice of the 5 miler (they say this is appropriate for first time trail runners) and the 10 miler (more challenging, so best if you have some trail running distance under your belt). Here’s more of the scoop from the race organizers:

Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) back in the early depression years, Paris Mountain is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts today. Just minutes from downtown Greenville, this beautiful State Park is home to a huge trail network and awaiting your arrival in February.

Two course lengths will challenge runners on looped courses. Expect tight turns, low hanging limbs, technical footing, stream crossings, elevation, and whatever else mother nature decides to throw your way. Be on the lookout for the Mountain Goat as this race is part of the 2013 “Search for the Mountain Goat” trail race series.

No matter which course you choose, plan on a lot of fun and excitement of a great destination and race.
