A Hero’s 5k was founded in 2010 and is a 5k walk/run held annually in February at Furman University to remember all of the soldiers who fought, died, and lived for our great country.
A Hero’s 5K proudly supports the efforts of Upstate Warrior Solution. All proceeds from the 2013 race will go to this brand new organization focusing on the needs of returning veterans in Upstate South Carolina.
Mission and Purpose
We are a community based non-profit organization in the Upstate of South Carolina that connects warriors and their families to the resources they need, and guides them through the process of developing realistic solutions for a variety of areas of their lives.
The Warrior Defined
A warrior is any service member who is currently serving or has served, regardless of military branch, nature of discharge, current status, or troubling past.

Mentorship, Outreach, Healthcare, Careers, Family Support, and Financial Assistance
