Chilly Challenge 8k – February 23, 2013 – North Buncombe Middle School – Weaverville, NC

This is part of the 2013 Asheville Track Club Grand Prix.

Yay – a new race in February! A 10 AM 8k ( time to sleep in) followed by chili. From the race organizers:

The race is the inaugural North Buncombe 8K, a timed race benefiting North Buncombe Middle School PTO. It is a rarely found 8K on an out and back, rolling hill course. The race will be followed by an amazing assortment of Chili, free to runners. Chili tasting for non-runners is available for $5.

$5 chili tasting tickets will be available for purchase on race day for spectators. Long-Sleeve T-shirts guaranteed to those who register for either the 8K Race or 1 Mile Fun Run by January 31, 2013.

Turn by Turn Directions:

• Left out of school parking lot
• Follow onto Dula Springs Road
• Right onto N. Buncombe School Rd
• Right onto Evening Shade, Turn around at U-Turn
• Right onto N. Buncombe School Rd
• Right onto Griffee Road (at Light)
• Follow onto Doan Road
• Follow on Road around front entrance of NWR
• Proceed onto Sidewalk path, following counter clockwise around play area
• Proceed back onto to drive path with NWR on left, proceeding clockwise around parking area
• Follow Doan Road down to Light
• Left onto N. Buncombe School Road
• Left into Entrance for N. Buncombe Middle School (Old Buncombe School Rd)
• Left into Front parking lot of NBMS to FINISH LINE!
