Asheville Turkey Trot – November 22, 2012 – Biltmore Square Mall – Asheville, NC

It finally happened.

After years of holding the Annual Asheville Turkey Trot at Carrier Park, race organizers from Jus’ Running have moved the race location. The turnout has grown so much that the logistics of parking and the nature of Carrier Park (much of the race on double wide paths/trails) made it necessary to change the venue. So, this year, the race will be held at Biltmore Square Mall:

Here’s a brief description of the course, from the race organizers:

The course will begin and end in the Biltmore Square Mall parking lot. Runners will circle the mall on a flat, fast course before taking in a shaded boulevard adjacent to the mall and returning to the finish line.

The new course should alleviate many of the bottlenecks and danger spots and allow runners to “Jus’ Run.” The 5k race starts at 9:15 and they’ve added a “Gobble Wobble 1 Mile Fun Run.” The Fun Run starts at 8:45.  Curious about last year?  Click here for results.

ENTRY FEES

Turkey Trot 5K:

• $25 Online until November 19th
• $25 Mail-in or drop-off at Jus’ Running by 3pm, November 20th
• $30 November 21st and Race Day

1 Mile Fun Run:

• $10 Mail-in or online
