Results of the Run/Walk for Autism 5k – September 29, 2012 – Asheville, NC

Sounds like a great event based upon the reports I’ve heard from a number of friends. Congratulations to all who finished this TOUGH 5k. Congratulations to Jerad Crave as first overall and first male. Congratulations to Ginna Reid as first female.

From correspondent Victor Dostrow (a runner in today’s race):

It was overcast at the gun for the run/walk for autism 5k this morning, and pretty humid. Most of the race is on the UNCA campus. The trouble comes just after mile 1 with the very…long…climb… up the Campus Drive hill to Lookout. And, it gets steeper at the end. However, it’s better after that. It started to rain a bit towards the end, but it wasn’t a washout. This is my third time to run this event, but the first on this course. My time was less than stellar, but it’s a fairly hard course. This was a well organized race for a good cause. I’ll be back.
