FootRx 4th Annual Grand Prix Series – 2012

This is a great, popular series of mid-week cross country races.  Even if you can’t do the entire series, check out a few of the races – you’ll love them.  Here are the details:

• July 19th Event #2 – 4k @ Jackson Park
• Aug. 2nd Event #3 – 5k @ The Asheville School
• Aug. 9th Event #4 – 5k @ Montreat College
• Aug. 23rd Event #5 – 5k @ Brevard College
• Sept. 13th Event #6 – 6k @ Fletcher Park
• Sept. 19th Event #7 – 6k @ Warren Wilson College
• Oct. 4th Event #8 – 6k @ TBA
• Oct. 25th Event #9 – 8k @ The Asheville School
• Nov. 8th FINALE – 8k @ Montreat College MANDATORY RACE

RACES TIMES/COST

• Races will start at 6:30pm
• Cost will be $15 per race (sign up for all 10 for $125) $10 per race for Middle or High School
• Students
• Asheville Track Club, Four Seasons Running Club, & Cherokee Runners all receive a series
• discounted rate of $100.
• EVERYONE must complete 6 of 10 races to receive long sleeve technical shirt.
• EVERYONE MUST RACE FINALE AT MONTREAT COLLEGE TO COUNT IN GRAND PRIX STANDINGS!

AWARDS

Prizes will be awarded as follows:

• Top 5 Overall Male & Female
• Master’s Male & Female (40-49) 1st Place ONLY
• Grand Master’s Male & Female (50-59) 1st Place ONLY
• Senior Grand Master’s Male & Female (60+) 1st Place ONLY
• Team Divisions – Must have 3 runners to score, 5 runner max on team roster. Teams must be submitted before 5th race of the series. Winning team from each category will win prizes.
• All teams must have AT LEAST 2 Females on the roster and at least ONE female must be included in scoring.
• Top Overall Mixed Team (Under 40 yrs)
• Top Overall Mixed Master’s (Over 40 yrs)

Scoring:

• Individuals – Your place against your competitors of your gender will be your points – Low score wins w/ your best finishes from 5 of the 8 races
• Teams – Your team score will be tallied based on your individuals finishing place in your division – All team scores will be tallied from 6 of your team’s best team scores out of the 10 races
