Results and Pictures from the Chick-Fil-A 5k – June 23, 2012 – Biltmore Baptist Church – Asheville, NC

I wasn’t running today but I was on my way to the Arboretum for a walk with my young German Shepherd Gidget and thought I’d stop by Biltmore Baptist Church to check out the Chick-Fil-A 5k.  It looked like a very well-organized race.

Congratulations to Brett Morley as first overall and first male.  Congratulations to Kim Sweetland as first female.

Comments from one of the participants:

Race observations: Plenty of parking. I like being within 100 meters of the start. Race timing was accurate. New age chips fastened to back of race number. Course very well marked and monitored. Challenging at one mile, however. Results ready almost immediately, and available on one of four or five laptops. This is the first time I have encountered this. Just go up to a laptop and enter your race number, out come your personal stats. Great ! Event ambiance was excellent.
