DuPont Forest 50k Trail Race + Two Person Relay – October 7, 2012 – DuPont Forest – Brevard, NC

A great long race in early October. Typically cool temperature and plenty of shade. The two-person relay means just a bit more than a half-marathon for each person.

Information from the race organizers:

2 loops – 4 aid stations. The loop is a challenging single track, double, and fire road course with stream crossings and lots of beauty all around! The course is rolling, lots of climbs and descents throughout. Great fun for folks looking for a tough challenge in the DuPont State Forest! See website for all the course details. For the relay – each person will run one loop – 25K. Runners will meet at the intersection of Hickory Mtn Rd and Buck Forest Rd.

150 runners can participate in individual 50K and 50 teams in the 2 person relay. Will you be a part of that lucky group? Awards will be fun, but yet to be determined. We will have overall categories and Master categories. The coolest race goodie bag ever and door prizes! Some of our sponsors include but not limited to Moose Tracks, FootRX-Asheville, Looking Glass Outfitters, State Farm, Meredith Baldridge, Perfect Balance Physical Therapy, Hammer Nutrition, Bracken Mountain Bakery, UPS Store…working on more!
