Maintenance Madness 5k – May 19, 2012 – Carrier Park – Asheville, NC

I think this is one of those races that calls for costumes. So, come on runners, let’s get creative. It’s not as easy as coming up with a costume for the Super Hero 5k – but we’re runners. We don’t go for “easy.”  I at least expect to see a light bulb and a hammer.

Information from the race organizers:

Time: Registration starts at 7:30am race starts promptly at 9:00am

Registration: Registration: $25.00 until May 1st. All entries after May 1st will be $30.00.

Place: The Maintenance Madness 5K will be held at Carrier Park in Asheville NC. The race will begin at the covered shelter and will make approximately 2 laps around the beautiful park.

Awards: In the 5k run, awards will be given for overall winner male/female, and age group awards three deep.

Amenities: The first 100 pre-registered runners will be guaranteed a t-shirt and goodie bag. All others will receive T-shirts while supplies last.

Proceeds will benefit the NCPSMA District 8 maintenance association.

The purposes of NCPSMA include:

• Incorporate higher standards in the operation and maintenance of school buildings and grounds.
• Cooperate with the parent-teacher organizations and other educational and civic bodies having educational objectives.
