Derby Dash 5k – May 19, 2012 – Derbyshire – Columbus, NC

This looks like a very nice race in Columbus, NC. It’s held in the Derbyshire community and the course features a combination of streets and trails traveling around a lake. Here is information from the race organizers:

The Derby Dash 5K will take place at Derbyshire, a lakeside residential community located in Columbus, North Carolina. Participants in the 5K will be able to enjoy the lake and mountain views and the Derbyshire community trails, as a portion of the race will be a trail run. The day will also include a fun walk and a full breakfast for all participants after the race. Additional breakfast tickets may be purchased for friends and family. Proceeds from the race will benefit Go Girls, a running club at Polk Central Elementary School, and the Foothills Humane Society.
