Kiwanis Firecracker 5k – July 4, 2012 – Weaverville, NC

A classic race and part of the Asheville Track Club Grand Prix Series. The race returned to the old “in town” course in 2011 and rolls through downtown a few times and winds through pleasant residential areas teeming with locals sipping their coffee and cheering on the runners.

Join us Wednesday, July 4, 2012, for the 19th Annual Firecracker 5k Run to provide scholarships for some of our North Buncombe students planning to attend a college or technical school.

The North Buncombe Kiwanis Club is excited to bring the Firecracker 5K Race back to downtown Weaverville for 2012! This will the same course as run previously. It begins at PNC (formerly RBC Centura) Bank on Weaverville Boulevard, turns right onto Main Street and continues through residential neighborhoods and parts of beautiful downtown Weaverville, concluding back at RBC Centura Bank.
