Run for the Paws 5k – April 22, 2012 – Fletcher Park – Fletcher, NC
|Attention all you animal-loving runners out there. This event benefits Brother Wolf Animal Rescue which does some very important work in our community. I attended this event (walking with my wife and our dogs) and it was great. It’s not just a race, there’s a “Wagging Wellness Fair” (basically an animal hootenanny). So come on out, have fun, bring your pets and help Brother Wolf. From the race organizers:
Get ready to hit the ground running for homeless pets at the 3nd Annual Run for the Paws 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk on Sunday, April 22nd at Fletcher Park. followed by a Wagging Wellness Fair for pets and people. The fair will feature awards, live music and tasty food, and the great folks at YMCA and Park Ridge Health will provide free health checks for the public and games for kids. In addition to doggie games and nail trims, our furry friends will have a blast checking out the neat stuff at the pet vendor expo, showcasing the many goods and services available to pet parents in our area.
Bring the whole family for a fun afternoon in the park! Funds raised from Run for the Paws enable us to continue the life saving work we do in our community.
For more information, visit the Brother Wolf website. Online registration is available at IMAthlete.
