Dupont Forest – Morris Broadband Half Marathon – April 21, 2012 – Brevard, NC

This race is part of the Four Seasons Running Club Grand Prix Series.

I ran this Spring trail half marathon in 2010 but missed it in 2011 because of a tender back. Much of the course is forest service roads comprised of dirt and gravel, but there’s also some double track trails and a unique stretch on an old mountain top asphalt air strip that provides great views. It’s reasonably hilly and the last couple of miles are mostly a gradual uphill pull. You’ll experience it in the fast start because you’ll be coming back the same way.

NOTE:  This race is capped at 400 runners this year.  The race has always sold out, so if you’re interested, don;t wait too long.
