Run for Ray 5k – June 18, 2011 – Jackson Park – Hendersonville, NC

This is a benefit run for a Hendersonville local that had a boating accident about a month ago and lost his leg and has a long road to recovery ahead of him. He is facing tremendous medical bills and the family has no insurance. They have a two month old baby boy. All proceeds to this race will go directly to the family. Registration 8:30-9:45 am
Race Time 10 am
BBQ and Hot Dog Plates starting at 11-1pm
Location: Hendersonville,NC- Jackson Park,Shelter 4

This is a benefit run with all proceeds going back to the Ray Wallen Benefit Account. Early Registartion forms can be obtained by contacting Jeanette Kelley (Jeanette2003@bellsouth.net or 828-699-6739). Registration in $25 prior to event, and $30 the day of event. All runners that preregister will receive a packet which includes entry forms and sponser sheets. All runners are encouraged to gather sponser names and donations. All the money raised will go directly to Ray. Runners must report to registration table day of race between 8:30-9:45 am to confirm registration, turn in sponser sheet and money, and get running materials. We will also have BBQ and hot dog plates available for purchase starting at 11 am. We will be awarding top runners and the runners that raise the most sponsered money. Please set aside a few hours to support Ray and his family.
