Results of the Spring into Action 8k – May 1, 2011 – Fletcher Park, Fletcher, NC
It was a nice Sunday afternoon race. The Spring into Action 8k was held in conjunction with the Run for the Hills 5k, both benefiting Junior League of Asheville and Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy.
The 8k turnout was small – just 22 runners. I think this is the first time I’ve ever been the oldest runner in a race. The good news is I was 1st place in the Masters category. Don’t be too impressed by these times, the course was very short. By my Garmin and my common sense I’d say this was a 7k.
