Hands On WNC Reindeer Run 5k – December 5, 2010 – Fletcher Park – Fletcher, NC

This race makes for a nice back-to-back weekend opportunity on this first weekend of December. There are two nice races to choose from on Saturday (the Asheville Jungle Bell 5k and the Brevard Reindeer Run 5k) and this race is run on Sunday afternoon at 2:30.

I ran this last year, the first running of the event. I consider it to be a partial cross-country race because at least a mile of it was on grass and on the back side of Fletcher Park it ran through a cornfield with foot-tall stalks (the race organizers have specifically told me that the cornfield will be excluded this year).
