Asheville Citizen-Times Half Marathon – September 18, 2010 – Need Pace Group Leaders
The race organizer needs pace group leaders to help runners group together based upon their goals and stay with other runners with similar goals. If you volunteer for this and are accepted you get a Free Race Entry and a Special Shirt.
The organizer would like two pace group leaders for each desired finishing time. Here are the groups defined by a runner’s anticipated or desired completions time (these are hours and minutes) …
1:30 (there is one runner already identified but a second is desired)
1:40
1:50
2:00
2:10 (there is one runner already identified but a second is desired)
2:30

This sounds like fun. I might do this next year.
That free race entry is a great idea.
On the other hand, I expect that a lot of potential pace group leaders signed up and paid their race fees months ago.
