I ran this Human Race also, not one of my favorite’s. No traffic control was my biggest concern. I ran along side a big ford 250 hoping he wasn’t turning right. I guess the entry fee goes to a good cause and that is important. Not sure if I will do this one next year after hearing about the Arboretum.
i was really dissapointed by this one!!!! Especially after hearing about how great the arboretum race was – helicopters – backpacks – go carts wow! Anyways -back to the human race – no perks at all – no race number – no finishing clock (that wouldnt be so bad – i was ready for all that since Ken informed me about that) – but the worst part was the grumpy race director!!! After the race started my girlfriend overheard him bitchin’ about a runner complaining about the lack of a cooler for the water and other things. I guess the main point is i felt used as a runner for my donation money. It seemed as if he didnt care about the runners at all. We are bringing in a lot of money for your charity so at least be nice for a couple hours. That being said – the runners were great and quite a fast crowd showed up so on that level it was fun! Sorry to be so negative!
I think this Arboretum race has some great potential. Great course and location and fabulous event management by the state troopers.
