Fivefingers 5k – June 19, 2010 – Mahoney’s Outfitters – Johnson City, TN

Vibram Fivefingers footgear are all the rage these days. I’ve seen at least one person wearing a pair in several of my most recent races and I’ve seen some at the Tuesday night track workout at Jus Running. So it was only a matter of time before we’d have a Fivefingers 5k in the area. This race is in Johnson City, TN – just about an hour-long drive from Asheville and it’s on June 19, 2010.

The race begins at 9:00 AM at Mahoney’s Outfitters – 830 Sunset Drive Johnson City, TN. The cost is $15 for early preregistered participants and $20 after June 1. All proceeds from the race will go to the United Way Shoe Fund. You don’t have to wear a pair of Fivefingers to run but the race features special awards for the top three finishers wearing Vibram Fivefingers.
