SAVE $10 WHEN YOU REGISTER FOR THIS RACE. Enter “solar” as the coupon code when you check out. Click the “redeem” button after inputting the coupon code and $10 will be deducted from your registration fee and you’ll see the lower price on your screen. The normal fee is $25, the $10 coupon makes it $15 (plus a $2.60 service charge for the online registration). $17.60 for an 8k – not bad. I just signed up and it worked flawlessly.
It’s always nice to have an 8k in the mix now and again. I’m sure an 8k course at Carrier Park will have some loops or travel outside the park. But it’s probably pretty safe to assume it’s going to be on the flat side. The proceeds of the First Light Solar 8k will benefit the WNC Green Building Council.

Is there a Solar Light Run for the Sun 8k this year?
I don’t think so. I couldn’t find any information about it this year. I ran the race last year and enjoyed it. Too bad – but there’s lots of race competition in May.
