Blue Ridge Assembly Splashdown Trail Race

April 3rd is a busy day racers. There are three different local events and each has two distances (Lake Junaluska 5k/10k, Greenway Challenge 5k/10k and this pair of Splashdown races at the Blue Ridge Assembly). In Black Mountain alone you can choose a 5k, a 6k, a 10k or a 15k. Don’t like pavement? No problem. Take your pick from one of these two trail races.

The Splashdown races both start and finish at Laurel Lake on the 1,200 acre campus of Blue Ridge Assembly. The 15k will start at 9:30 AM and the 6k will start at 10:00 AM. For those of you doing the DuPont Forest Half Marathon (like me) the following weekend, this could be a great choice for a final long run of 9.3 miles (15k).
