I guess I started in the wrong place. When they blew the air horn I thought I was in the crowd for Black Friday Shopping. Lots of pushing and getting cut off. What helped me was going to the upper part of the track and just getting out of the traffic. I really liked the race seemed nice to run a flat course. Set Up Events does a great job with the quick results!!!!!
Yes – Setup Events rocks. What I did in this race was to stay on the high side of the race track at the start. It’s longer but it helps me avoid all the entanglements that happen in the middle of the track. I still had a few close calls with people who were weaving but was glad when I got off the track.
This race was alot of FUN. I was so impressed by the 1st place females time. The start was a little crowded but once I got out off the race track the rest was very nice.
It’s best to start fast at this race and get out of the inside track as soon as possible. It’s tough enough running the early trail portion but it’s even more difficult if you have a lot of passing to do. The section on Amboy road is helpful because it allows you to do as much passing as you need to so you’re about where you belong after it narrows again.
