I ran this race last year and it was very well attended. It’s a familiar course — we all know if from the many races run at Carrier Park, including the Turkey Trot. Race organizers are expecting a strong turn out this year. The race starts at 9:00 AM. Get there early — parking can get challenging.

Hmm…here I was thinking we were supposed to RIDE the horses!
Horse race? That’s a relief — I don’t have to run!
See you there Bob!
See you at the Horses race, Dennis. I did the inaugural run of it last year, and it was real low key, light attendance (I won my age group, so that tells you something), but great folks involved and a good cause.
This year, as an ATC GP race, should boost the numbers, along with people being more aware of it (hopefully).
The website also says something about the goal of 1000 runners, walkers, and spectators. Good golly miss Molly. Does the Turkey Trot even draw 1000 people to Carrier Park?
I wish them well.
Dennis, I agree. Parking will be an issue. Get there early.
I think the number they are using includes spectators and volunteers. The numer of runners/walkers last year was I think about 300 or so. I suspect they will get 400+. But I’ve decided that the Hope for Horses run is more interesting to me, so I’m planning on that.
