Cancelled – “Your Best Mile Ever” One-Mile Race – Fletcher, North Carolina, October 3, 2009 – Cancelled
Mark your calendar for October 3rd, 2009. There’s a cool new race coming and you’ll be done before you know it. It’s the “Your Best Mile Ever” one-mile race in Fletcher, North Carolina. According to Greg Walker with Fletcher Parks and Recreation, this is a downhill race in the town of Fletcher, finishing in Fletcher Community Park.
There will be four races: a family fun run, women, men and elite/college. The first 150 runners registered will receive a Mizuno tech shirt. Entry fee is $15 prior to October 1st. More information will be available July 20th at www.fletcherparks.org and at www.footrxasheville.com.
I’m sorry to say I’ll miss it. We have tickets to see U2 in Raleigh (could be worse).

Yes. Greg is a great runner and understands the need for great race organization. You can count on this being a top shelf race. I wish I could be there but Nancy and I have tickets to see U2 in Raleigh on October 3rd.
Sounds like fun! Greg and the Fletcher folks did a great job with their first race (Retro Run 4 miler) so this should be a good one as well!
